Milan, 22 February (LaPresse) – Hamas has set up stages in Rafah, in the southern part of Gaza, and in the Nuseirat area, in the centre of the Strip, for the handover of six Israeli hostages scheduled for today. As was the case with previous releases, the stages are covered with propaganda posters. This is reported by ‘The Times of Israel’. Hamas will release the hostages Tal Shoham, Omer Shem-Tov, Eliya Cohen, Omer Wenkert, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed this morning. According to previous statements by the terrorist group, the six are the last of those handed over during the first phase who are still alive. Al-Sayed and Mengistu have been prisoners in Gaza for over a decade, having entered the Strip of their own free will. The others were kidnapped on 7 October 2023.
