Berlin (Germany), February 23 (LaPresse) – The CDU-CSU remains in the lead in Germany's federal elections with 29% of the votes, according to the first exit polls reported by broadcaster ARD. The far-right AfD emerges as the second-largest party with 19.5%, ahead of the SPD at 16%. The Greens stand at 13.5%. The Left Party (Die Linke) sees a strong performance with 8.5%. Currently, the liberal FDP falls below the Bundestag entry threshold at 4.9%, along with BSW at 4.7%. Other parties collectively hold 3.9%.
