Berlin (Germany), February 23 (LaPresse) – The leader of AfD, Alice Weidel, reiterated the offer to CDU-CSU to govern together, after the first projections of the federal elections show CDU-CSU leading ahead of the German far-right party. "Our hand is always extended to fulfill the will of the people," Weidel said, adding that she does not believe this extended hand "will be accepted" by Friedrich Merz's party. The Union has so far categorically rejected a joint government with AfD.
