Brussels, 20 Mar (LaPresse) – ‘No’ we do not feel isolated, ‘we feel very good. Because we think that unfortunately Europe is isolated, it is the most isolated place in the world.’ So says Balázs Orbán, chief political adviser to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, speaking on the sidelines of the ongoing European Council in Brussels. ‘Because what has happened in the last three years? We stopped pragmatic economic and energy cooperation with Russia,' he added, ’which caused us, which cost us a lot of money. We started the trade war with China, and now we have an ideology and a trade relations clash with the new leadership of the United States. How do we plan to have growth, jobs and a stable and prosperous society for our European citizens? We Hungarians tolerate disagreements within the European Union. But this strategy gets us nowhere. So we have to change. And the sooner we realise this and the sooner we can agree through constructive dialogue on a new way, the better off we will all be'.
