Turin, 27 Mar. (LaPresse) – ‘We need a clear plan, one that we all agree on and can start implementing, based on the options and experiences that have already been discussed with you and are at your disposal’. President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on social media after the summit of the ‘willing’ in Paris. ‘We want to invite a small group of people, your representatives, to Ukraine to develop this plan together,’ he explained. “Our coalition of willing and capable partners is already at work, both politically and militarily. I am grateful to France, the United Kingdom and all those involved for their sincere commitment to helping us build lasting security,” he added. ‘During this meeting, in upcoming military talks, and in all of our discussions here in Europe and with other partners, including the United States, we must answer some very specific questions: Which countries will be involved on the ground, in the air, and at sea in Ukraine? Where exactly will these forces be located? What will be the number and structure of these forces? What will be their response procedures in case of a threat? When will our coalition actually deploy its troops to Ukraine? When will the ceasefire begin or when will the war be completely over and an agreement reached?’ wrote Zelensky.
