Turin, Mar 28 (LaPresse) – The US Geological Survey has issued a red alert for casualties and damage following the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar. Its website states that “high casualties and extensive damage are likely and the disaster is potentially widespread.” As reported by Sky News UK, the agency added that the death toll is likely to be in the thousands.
