Rome, 28th March (LaPresse) – ‘It was a very strong quake. I was taking a shower when everything started shaking. It was difficult to stand up’. This is what Francesco Lenza, originally from Cagliari but who has been living for years in the centre of Bangkok, Thailand, where he owns a tattoo shop, told LaPresse. At 1.30pm local time there was a violent earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale. ‘The authorities immediately set up some tent cities in public parks and immediately issued useful information to guide citizens during the emergency. There are still many aftershocks and many people have not yet returned to their homes.’ “The epicentre of the earthquake is over 900 kilometres from here, but the tremor was still very strong. For me it was a surreal experience, never experienced before,” he concluded.
