Dubai (United Arab Emirates), March 29 (LaPresse) – Suspected U.S. airstrikes hit Yemen overnight, killing at least one person, while the American military acknowledged having previously bombed a major military site in the heart of Sanaa, controlled by the Houthi rebels. Today's attacks targeted several areas of Yemen under Houthi control, including the capital Sanaa and the governorates of al-Jawf and Saada, according to rebel-controlled media. The strikes in Saada resulted in one fatality and four injuries. The Houthi-run Saba news agency identified the deceased as a civilian. However, Houthi fighters and their allies often do not wear uniforms. Analysts believe the rebels may have underestimated the casualties, as the strikes targeted military and intelligence sites operated by the insurgents.
