Milan, 31 Mar. (LaPresse) – Jordan Bardella has launched a ‘popular and peaceful mobilisation’ on social media in support of Marine Le Pen, following her conviction for embezzlement of public funds. ‘The provisional sentence against Marine Le Pen, which prevents her from standing in 2027, is a democratic scandal’, writes Bardella, referring to the next presidential elections, “let's show them that the will of the people is stronger”. The Rassemblement National has therefore launched a petition called “Let's save democracy, support Marine!”. ‘It is not only Marine Le Pen who is being unjustly condemned: it is French democracy that is being put to death. It is no longer the rule of judges, but the dictatorship of judges, that wants to prevent the French people from expressing themselves’, reads the petition, ’we are calling for a peaceful popular mobilisation: sign our petition of support. You have always been able to count on Marine Le Pen, on her willingness to defend you, on her patriotism. Today she is counting on you. Let's show those who want to bypass democracy that the will of the people is stronger!’
