Rome, 31 March (LaPresse) – The ruling military junta in Myanmar has declared a week of national mourning following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Friday, killing at least 1,700 people. ‘Out of compassion for the loss of life and damage, seven days of national mourning have been declared from 31/03/2025 to 06/04/2025. The national flag should be flown at half-mast during these days,’ said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
