Rome, 1 Apr. (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he will be waiting for Xi Jinping in Moscow on 9 May to take part in the celebrations of the anniversary of Victory Day. This was reported by Interfax. ‘I would like to ask you to convey my warmest regards to the President of the People's Republic of China, my dear friend Xi Jinping. We are expecting him in Russia on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, in World War II. Together we will celebrate this anniversary and the victory over Nazi Germany and the victory over militaristic Japan,’ Putin said during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. “We will prepare a good and rich programme. He will be our main guest,” Putin added.
