Athens (Greece), 3 Apr. (LaPresse/AP) – A boat carrying migrants from the Turkish coast to the Greek island of Lesbos capsized this morning off the coast of Lesbos. The death toll is 4, including 2 children, and 23 people have been rescued. This was reported by the Greek Coast Guard. The 4 dead were 2 women, a baby boy and a baby girl. Reporting on what appears to be the same shipwreck, the Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported 5 dead and 25 rescued in the sinking of a rubber dinghy in the Aegean Sea between the Turkish mainland and Lesbos. The people who were rescued were taken to hospital and the search is continuing, reports Anadolu. The weather conditions in the area were good and it is not clear what caused the boat to capsize. At the moment it is not clear how many people were travelling on board, nor what their nationalities were.
