Milan, 4 April (LaPresse) – Early this morning, the Israeli army (IDF) announced that it has expanded its ground operations in the northern Gaza Strip, with troops pushing into the Shejaiya neighbourhood in eastern Gaza City. According to the IDF, the operations are aimed at expanding Israel's buffer zone along the Gaza border. The army said that so far the troops ‘have killed several terrorists and destroyed infrastructure, including a Hamas command centre’ and assured that they are allowing civilians to evacuate the area ‘for their safety’. The Times of Israel reported this.
