Kyiv, April 5 (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that at the beginning of next week, Ukraine will choose a law firm to represent its interests in negotiations with the United States and will be ready to present a new draft of the minerals agreement. "At the beginning of next week, I will have a major meeting with our team, during which I will be presented with all the points of the agreement that satisfy us, or reflect the fairness of the agreement according to our point of view as we see it," Zelensky said during a press conference, as reported by CNN. The Ukrainian leader then added that "a technical team will be ready for a trip to the United States and for dialogue with our American partners." Zelensky clarified that he would not be part of this trip. The Ukrainian president also stated that "America is ready" to pressure Russia into accepting a ceasefire and that the two countries "have discussed increasing sanctions pressure on the Russians because they don’t want to end the war. And of course, the first step towards ending the war is a ceasefire. We are waiting for these steps, we have been waiting for them for a long time," he said.
