Brussels, April 7 (LaPresse) – "We’ll see what happens. Perhaps a postponement until the 30th could be considered, but we certainly don’t oppose it. We will support Commissioner Sefcovic, that’s clear. Let’s see if it can be delayed by a few weeks, so that there’s more time for dialogue, but this list is already frozen, so it's not a reactive position," said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani upon his arrival at the Foreign Affairs Trade Council in Luxembourg. "It's a signal to say we are here, defending our businesses, but we are always ready to discuss, which, in my opinion, is key to protecting the economy in general, and the Western economy."
He continued, "We must be certain that Europe will not split. We will work to keep Europe united in this complicated moment. Italy’s position is very clear: we will contribute, we will say what we think, but we won’t take any actions that could put Commissioner Sefcovic in difficulty, in whom we place our full trust."
