Washington, April 7 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump stated he is open to negotiations, provided that countries address their trade deficits with the United States. "I want to fix the trade deficit we have with China, with the European Union, and other nations, and they will have to do it. And if they want to talk about it, I’m open to talking," said the U.S. president aboard Air Force One. CNN reported that the Trump administration is actively engaged in talks with Israel, Vietnam, and India regarding potential tailor-made trade agreements; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet with Trump at the White House in the coming hours for direct talks. However, when asked about the example of Vietnam and the potential removal of tariffs, Trump’s senior advisor for trade and manufacturing, Peter Navarro, stated that the administration was not negotiating.
