Washington (USA), April 9 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump announced on Truth Social a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, with a rate of only 10%, for the "over 75 countries" that have contacted the United States and have not responded to U.S. tariffs. "Considering that more than 75 countries have summoned U.S. representatives, including from the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and USTR, to negotiate solutions on issues such as trade, trade barriers, customs tariffs, currency manipulation, and non-monetary tariffs—and that these countries, at my strong suggestion, have in no way retaliated against the United States—I have authorized a 90-day pause and a substantially reduced reciprocal tariff of 10% during this period, effective immediately," wrote the U.S. president.
