Milano, April 15 (LaPresse) – The peace agreement in Ukraine discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin concerns "the so-called five territories." This was stated by the United States Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in an interview with Fox News, referring, without naming them, likely to Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014, and the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, which are currently partially occupied. "But there is much more," he added, "there are the security protocols, no NATO, NATO's article 5, in short, there are just a lot of details attached." Article 5 is the NATO alliance principle under which an attack on one member is treated as an attack on all members, with a coordinated response. Witkoff added: "It's a complicated situation… rooted in… some really problematic aspects that are happening between the two countries and I think we could be on the verge of something that would be very, very important for the world in general."
