Milan, 19 apr. (LaPresse) – "The position of Ukraine remains clear and consistent: on March 11 in Jeddah, we unconditionally accepted the U.S. proposal for a total 30-day ceasefire. Russia rejected it, and its refusal has now lasted 39 days," wrote Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on X, following President Vladimir Putin's announcement of an Easter truce. "The Moscow regime instead imposed various conditions and intensified terror against Ukraine, civilians, and civilian infrastructure across the country. Now Putin claims to be ready for a ceasefire—30 hours instead of 30 days," he added. "Russia can accept the proposal for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire at any time—it has been on the table since March."
