Milan, 19 April (LaPresse/AP) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is ‘seriously concerned’ about the US attack two days ago on Ras Isa, a Yemeni port on the Red Sea, as well as the Houthi missile and drone attacks against Israel and maritime routes. This was reported by his spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric. ‘The Secretary-General recalls that international law, including international humanitarian law, must be respected at all times, and calls on all parties to respect and protect civilians and civilian infrastructure,’ Dujarric said. The US attacks are part of a month-long bombing campaign, which the Trump administration says was decided because of Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea, a crucial global trade route, and on its close ally Israel. According to the Houthi Health Ministry, around 200 people have been killed in the US campaign since 16 March.
