Milan, 21 April (LaPresse) – ‘The President of the Nation will decree seven days of mourning for the death of the Holy Father’. This is what presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni said in a post on social X after the death of Pope Francis. The Archdiocese of Buenos Aires has decided to observe a day of national mourning for the death of Pope Francis and Catholic schools in the Vicariate will remain closed today, as will some Catholic denominational schools. ‘The schools that welcomed their students today, so as not to disrupt the organisation of families, could remain closed tomorrow as a sign of mourning,’ reads a note. Argentine media reported this. Argentina's Catholic University also joins in the mourning for Bergoglio's passing and will not hold classes at its facilities.
