Washington (USA), April 28 (LaPresse) – Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke yesterday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, "at Lavrov’s request." State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated that Rubio, following Special Envoy Witkoff’s visit to Moscow on April 25, "emphasized to his Russian counterpart the next steps in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and the need to end the war now." The United States, Bruce concluded, is "seriously committed to facilitating the end of this senseless war."
