Rome, May 3 (LaPresse) – At least nineteen people were killed and others injured this morning in Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) airstrikes targeting civilian homes and tents for displaced persons in the city of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
According to Wafa, the Palestinian Authority’s news agency, Israeli military aircraft bombed the home of the Al-Bayram family in the Khan Younis refugee camp, killing 11 civilians. Another civilian was killed when his tent was hit along the road near the complex; his wife and two children were injured.
One person was also killed, and others wounded, in a strike on a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Mahatta area of Khan Younis. A 4-month-old baby, Hassan Abd Toman, was killed in a bombing that targeted a tent for displaced families in the Asdaa area, to the north.
Wafa also reports that an Israeli drone struck the home of the Abu Hajras family in Khan Younis, killing a pregnant woman and injuring another person.
The death toll from the strike on the Za’rab family home in the Al-Batn Al-Sameen area has risen to four, while rescue teams continue to search the rubble. In Rafah, emergency responders recovered the body of another civilian.
