Thessaloniki (Greece), May 3 (LaPresse/AP) – A woman died in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, when the bomb she was carrying exploded in her hands, according to police reports.
The 38-year-old woman was apparently transporting the bomb to place it outside a nearby bank around 5 a.m., police said. Several shops and vehicles were damaged in the explosion.
According to authorities, the woman was known to police for her involvement in several past robberies. Investigators are looking into her possible ties to far-left groups.
