Milan, 4 May (LaPresse) – ‘Maybe nothing will work, maybe it is simply impossible. You have to understand that here (between Ukraine and Russia, ed.) there is enormous hatred’. US President Donald Trump said this in an interview with Nbc News' “Meet the Press” programme, when asked about a possible peace deal. ‘There's going to come a time when I'm going to say, ‘All right, go ahead, keep being stupid.’ Sometimes I'm close, and then something positive happens,’ he added. On the minerals agreement signed between Kiev and Washington Trump stressed: ‘I think we've gotten closer to one side, though maybe not so close to the other. We'll see. I would not like to specify which side we are closer to right now. But we have reached an agreement that is beneficial for Americans'.
