Milan, May 7 (LaPresse) – Iran, through Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, has expressed deep concern over the rising military tensions between India and Pakistan and called on both sides to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Mehr. The spokesperson reaffirmed Iran’s principled stance on respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity and rejecting the use of force. He also expressed hope that India and Pakistan, both countries with long-standing friendly relations with Iran, will take steps toward de-escalation. Tehran “warned against the possible exploitation of the crisis by third parties,” particularly Israel, Mehr concluded.
