Milan, 7 May (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll in Pakistan has risen to 31 as a result of rocket attacks launched by India. This was reported by Pakistan's army spokesman, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, pointing out that 26 civilians, including women and children, were killed in different locations in the country and another five civilians died along the Line of Control, the de facto border dividing the disputed region of Kashmir between India and Pakistan, as a result of fire from Indian forces in the Pakistani part of Kashmir. The spokesman added that Pakistan returned fire in Kashmir and also destroyed some Indian positions; according to Indian police and medical sources, at least seven civilians were killed and 30 wounded in the Indian part of Kashmir.
