Milan, May 7 (LaPresse) – “We are following with concern the developments between Pakistan and India. The attack launched by India last night (May 6) has created the risk of a full-scale war. We condemn such provocative actions and attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure. We urge both parties to show common sense and avoid unilateral actions,” stated the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “We hope that the necessary steps will be taken as soon as possible to reduce tensions in the region and that the appropriate mechanisms, including in the fight against terrorism, will be established to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents. We support Pakistan’s call for an investigation into the April 22 terrorist attack,” the statement from Ankara concluded.
