Milan, 9 May (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron hopes for a US-EU plan for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine with the threat of massive sanctions if it is not implemented. He said this himself on Polish television Telewizja Polska, which interviewed him during Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's visit to France. The interview was reported by the French media. ‘My hope’ is that ‘in the coming hours and days, we will all be able to move forward with a commitment to a ceasefire, saying that if it is betrayed by one of the parties, there will be massive economic sanctions,’ Macron said, explaining his idea for this European-American plan. ‘The Russians must say yes. Not three days’ to “surround 9 May and hold the parade. No, 30 days,” he added.
