Turin, May 9 (LaPresse) – "Today I participated in the work with our friends – the European countries involved in the Joint Expeditionary Force format – the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Ukraine – united. We are working together to reach a solid and lasting ceasefire of at least 30 days. Ukraine is ready." This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media. "Yesterday – he added – I spoke with President Trump. Our European friends also spoke with him. We are all on the same wavelength: there must be a complete ceasefire. And if Russia continues to prolong the war, we will need stricter sanctions, especially if it violates the ceasefire once in effect. The United States and Europe know what hurts Russia the most – what really pushes Moscow to consider peace and stop this war. Moscow should accept the ceasefire because it's the only way to start a real peace. We are uniting as many countries as possible to ensure that this pressure – pressure for peace – is effective."
