New Delhi, May 10 (LaPresse) – India has declared that it targeted Pakistani military bases after Islamabad launched several high-speed missiles at different Indian airbases in the Punjab state on Saturday morning. Indian Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, during a press conference in New Delhi, stated that Pakistan also targeted healthcare facilities and schools at its three airbases in Indian-administered Kashmir. "A suitable response has been given to Pakistan's actions," she said. This marks the latest escalation in a conflict triggered by a massacre last month, which India attributes to Pakistan. Pakistan had previously claimed to have intercepted most of the missiles directed at three airbases and that retaliatory strikes were ongoing against India. New Delhi declared that it had targeted Pakistani military bases after Islamabad launched several high-speed missiles at various Indian airbases in Punjab but committed not to escalate attacks if Pakistan reciprocates. Pakistan said it intercepted most of the missiles aimed at three airbases and that retaliatory strikes were underway against India. Squadron Commander Vyomika Singh, in a press conference in New Delhi on Saturday, stated that India committed "not to escalate attacks, provided the Pakistani side reciprocates."
