Islamabad, May 10 (LaPresse) – Amid the crisis between India and Pakistan, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke on Friday with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated that Rubio continued to urge both sides to "find ways for de-escalation" and offered U.S. assistance in initiating constructive talks to avoid future conflicts. "Secretary Rubio spoke with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Secretary Rubio reiterated that both sides must find a way to ease tensions and re-establish direct communication to avoid misjudgments. He also offered U.S. support to initiate constructive talks to prevent future conflicts," said Bruce, according to the U.S. State Department's website.
