Deir Al-Balah (Gaza Strip), 11 May (LaPresse/AP) – According to local Palestinian health sources, Israeli raids during the night and on Sunday killed 11 people in the Gaza Strip, mostly women and children. Two of the attacks hit tents in the southern town of Khan Younis, killing two children and their parents. Others killed a child and a man on a bicycle, according to Nasser Hospital, which received the bodies. In northern Gaza, an Israeli attack killed a 16-year-old boy, according to the Indonesian hospital. The Israeli army says it only targets militants and tries to avoid harming civilians, and blames Hamas for civilian casualties in the war because militants are infiltrated in densely populated areas. There was no immediate comment from Israel on the latest attacks.
