Washington (USA), 12 May (LaPresse) – The families of hostages still held by Hamas could meet with Donald Trump in Qatar this week, during the US president's trip. This was reported by CNN sources, who stressed that plans are still being finalised. The hope, the sources say, is that the release of Israeli-American Edan Alexander, as part of an agreement between the United States and Hamas, will push Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach an agreement with Hamas for the remaining 58 hostages, of whom only 20 are believed to still be alive. CNN had previously reported that Trump had invited the Alexander family to Doha, but their trip will depend on Edan's condition.
