Rome, May 13 (LaPresse/AP) – U.S. President Donald Trump has landed in Saudi Arabia. Fox News reported the arrival, broadcasting footage of Air Force One touching down.
Saudi Arabia is the first of three stops on Trump’s Middle East tour, aimed at addressing multiple crises and conflicts in the region. The U.S. president will meet with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia.
The two leaders are expected to discuss U.S. efforts to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, end the war in Gaza, stabilize oil prices, and other key issues.
Later today, a formal dinner hosted by the Crown Prince is scheduled, along with a meeting between Trump and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
