Brussels, May 13 (LaPresse) – Regarding humanitarian aid, when Israel claims that "it is manipulated by Hamas and only given to people close to Hamas," then "the response should be to flood Gaza with humanitarian aid so there are no shortages and it cannot be used as they say." This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, in Copenhagen, emphasizing that "we are also offering our help" with "our mission" and "we are also ready to contribute to the distribution of humanitarian aid, but we are not allowed to. So, for me, it is an immense frustration not to be able to do anything." On the EU-Israel Association Council, which the Netherlands has called to suspend, she noted: "Even if we suspended this agreement, it would not stop the killings, and that is precisely the problem, the source of my frustration. We all see that this situation is unsustainable – the loss of human lives, the human suffering – and we really must help them."
