Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – "Congratulations to Nicusor Dan on his historic victory in the presidential elections in Romania. For Ukraine, as a neighbouring and friendly country, it is important to have Romania as a reliable partner. And we are confident that this will be the case. Working together, we can strengthen both our countries and our Europe." This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a post on X, after pro-EU candidate Nicusor Dan won yesterday's presidential runoff election in Romania, defeating nationalist George Simion.
