Brussels, May 19 (LaPresse) – "I would like to thank President Trump for his tireless efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine. It is important that the United States continues to engage. We will continue to support Volodymyr Zelenskyy in achieving lasting peace in Ukraine". This was written on social media by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, after having had a "good call with US President Donald Trump, together with French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and President Volodymyr Zelensky for a report on his call with President Putin".
