Brussels, May 21 (LaPresse) – "You have always urged Europe to be ambitious and aim higher. You have called for strong action on competitiveness, in line with the Draghi and Letta reports. That is precisely what we discussed today in our College meeting. You reminded us of our responsibility to protect nature and leave the world a better place for our children and grandchildren. You have been unwavering in your support for Ukraine. Two weeks ago, you said 'Nessun dorma.' We heard your call, and today we will discuss how we can respond to it."

These were the words of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the College of Commissioners' session with Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels.
