Frankfurt (Germany), May 28 (LaPresse) – “The reason behind any aggression in war — and in this war between Russia and Ukraine, against the Ukrainian people — is simply a violent desire to kill and destroy lives. Russia must abandon this desire. And for that to truly happen, every possible pressure must be applied to Russia so it understands the consequences of its actions. That’s why sanctions must be strengthened. The prolongation of the war must be painful for Moscow,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.
