Rome, 29 May (LaPresse) – ‘The Israeli government's approval of 22 new settlements in the occupied West Bank is a deliberate obstacle to the establishment of a Palestinian state. The United Kingdom condemns these actions.’ This was written on Twitter by Hamish Falconer, British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa. ‘The settlements are illegal under international law, further undermine the two-state solution and do not protect Israel,’ he added.
