Berlin (Germany), June 1 (LaPresse/AP) – Three people died and many others were injured in a fire that broke out overnight in a hospital in the German city of Hamburg.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at Marienkrankenhaus Hospital shortly after midnight. The fire started in a room in the geriatric ward on the ground floor and spread to the facade of the upper floor. Smoke spread across all four floors of the building.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Fire officials stated that more than 30 people were injured. The three deceased were patients of the hospital.
