Milan, June 1 (LaPresse) – "A telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The situation regarding the crisis in Ukraine was discussed." This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasizing that Rubio expressed his condolences regarding the destruction of infrastructure in the Bryansk and Kursk regions, according to the Russian agency Tass. "Lavrov and Marco Rubio also exchanged views on various initiatives concerning the political resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, including the plan to resume direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul on June 2 of this year," Moscow added.
