Brussels, 5 June (LaPresse) – After intense discussions, the EU Transport Council has reached a political agreement on the general approach to the revision of the regulation on air passenger rights. This was announced by the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. "This is a great success and represents a step forward towards a much-needed legislative update. It means more rights for passengers. Perhaps not everyone is fully satisfied with this text, but I believe that this means that we have reached a good compromise. This political agreement will allow us to start negotiations with the European Parliament, and I hope that the Danish Presidency will be very successful," said Polish Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak, representing the rotating EU Council Presidency.
