Brussels, June 5 (LaPresse) – The European Commission has announced it will revisit the issue of the seasonal time change between standard time and daylight saving time, after years of the proposal by the Juncker Commission, made in 2018, being stalled in the Council.
"Another topic we discussed today was the seasonal clock change. I strongly believe that the time has come for the 27 Member States, for the European Union, to decide to stop changing the clocks twice a year," said Apostolos Tsitsikostas, Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, during a press conference at the end of the Transport Council in Luxembourg.
"We agreed today during the meeting that the Commission will conduct a study and return to the Council with specific proposals based on concrete evidence," he added.
