Frankfurt (Germany), June 5 (LaPresse) – "We both want the war in Ukraine to end. And I told the president before our arrival that he is the key person in the world who can really do it now by putting pressure on Russia. We will have this debate again later on how we can proceed jointly between Europeans and Americans. And I think we all agree, we have a duty to do something now to stop it after three and a half years."
This was said by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during the meeting in the Oval Office with US President Donald Trump.
"Look at the children. The children who have been kidnapped from Ukraine and taken to Russia. It’s all terrible. So we are talking about instrumental measures, what we can do, and my personal opinion is clear on this. We stand with Ukraine and we are trying to make it stronger just to make Putin stop this war," Merz added.
