Washington (USA), June 5 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump is losing patience with Elon Musk after the billionaire attacked the Republican bill on taxes and public spending, calling it a "disgusting abomination" that will blow up the US public debt. The Wall Street Journal reports that Musk is irritated by Trump’s decision to withdraw the nomination of his candidate, Jared Isaacman, to lead NASA. A senior White House official cited by the WSJ said Trump was unhappy with Musk’s criticisms and confused about why the billionaire decided to intensify his attacks after working so closely with the president for four months. According to the WSJ source, Trump’s senior advisers were caught off guard by Musk’s latest offensive. The billionaire reportedly became furious over Isaacman’s rejection as head of the US space agency and over the weekend complained to his associates that he had donated hundreds of millions of dollars to help Trump get elected last year, only to see Isaacman’s nomination withdrawn, another source directly familiar with the matter said. Musk’s frustration over the NASA episode made him more inclined to aggressively criticize Trump’s tax law, people close to him said.
