Rome, June 7 (LaPresse) – The head of the Russian delegation in negotiations with Kiev, Vladimir Medinsky, said that Ukraine “has unexpectedly postponed indefinitely both the acceptance of the bodies and the exchange of prisoners of war.” This was reported by Tass. Medinsky added that Russia, in strict accordance with the Istanbul agreements, launched a humanitarian operation on June 6 to transfer more than 6,000 bodies of fallen Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers to Ukraine, as well as to exchange wounded and seriously ill prisoners of war and prisoners of war under the age of 25. According to Medinsky, “the first batch of 1,212 frozen bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers has already arrived in refrigerated trucks at the exchange area.”
