Milan, June 7 (LaPresse) – When asked if he thinks his relationship with Elon Musk is over, US President Donald Trump responded in a phone interview with NBC News: “I suppose so, yes.” Trump said he has no desire to mend the relationship with Musk after their public clash. “No,” he replied when asked if he intended to do so. Trump added that he does not plan to speak with Musk anytime soon: “I’m too busy with other things,” and “I have no intention of talking to him.” Trump also accused Musk of being “disrespectful toward the office of the president.” “I think it’s a very serious matter because it’s very disrespectful. You can’t disrespect the office of the president,” he added. Regarding the post Musk published on X on June 5, in which the Tesla CEO insinuated that Trump’s name was among Jeffrey Epstein’s files—a post that was later removed—Trump told NBC News: “It’s called ‘old news,’ it’s old news, it’s been talked about for years,” and “even Epstein’s lawyer said I had nothing to do with it. It’s old news.”
