Turin, 9 June (LaPresse) – The ban on entry into the United States, imposed by Donald Trump, came into force after midnight – with no end date in sight – affecting 12 countries, reviving and expanding a controversial policy from his first term. Those affected are mainly people from Africa and the Middle East. The ban applies to citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. The most severe entry restrictions apply to citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela who are outside the United States and do not have a valid visa.
